We Look Forward To Meeting You
The Old Road Veterinary Center has carefully curated a team of highly skilled and compassionate veterinary professionals. We are dedicated to providing your pet with the utmost care and look forward to meeting you and your furry companion!

Dr. S. Cheema, Chief Medical Director
Dr. Cheema received his DVM from Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana, India, before completing his Internship at Iowa State University in 2001. Since then, he has been dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary care to cats and dogs across southern California. He has a special interest in Veterinary dentistry and ultrasonography. Outside of general small animal care, he also attained a certification in veterinary acupuncture from Chi Institute, FL.
In his spare time, Dr. Cheema loves subjecting his two teenage daughters to extensive veterinary surgery videos and Bollywood films. He hopes that one day they will also follow in his footsteps and become veterinarians themselves. You may see them wandering through the hospital assisting him over their school breaks! His hobbies further include attending veterinary seminars all over the U.S., playing with his two dogs, Zoomie and Millie, and annoying the heck out of his beloved wife, Raman, who is the vision behind this clinic.

Dolores, CSR
Being our customer service specialist, Dolores is the face of our clinic and the voice behind the phone. She was born and raised in Florida. After moving to California in 2000, she slowly developed an interest in the veterinary field, which she would later join in 2011. Dolores strives to provide an outstanding customer service experience during your visit at the Old Road Veterinary Center. She is a proud parent of three cats and her beloved son, who is a UC Berkeley graduate. Outside of work, her boyfriend drags her to the gym. However, on her own she loves to hike, try new food, and go to neighborhood yard sales.
Dolores is one of our OG’s from day one.

Austin, Admin. Assistant
Hailing from Southern California, Austin always had a deep appreciation for the wilderness and outdoors. During his hikes, he enjoyed studying animals from afar and went on to pursue a career in the veterinary field in 2017, where he started as a kennel attendant and quickly moved his way up to being an experienced vet assistant. In the clinic, he aims to create a welcoming and humorous environment so staff and clients can be at ease despite their worries. He loves to crack jokes and possesses a special skill of being easy to talk to.When he’s not at work, he’s either snowboarding or spending quality time with his wife and kids. He is also an equally dedicated dog-dad to his little Terrier, Kiara.
Austin is one of our OG’s and also played a pivotal role in getting the clinic up and running before opening.

Briana, RVT
Briana was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. Growing up, her dad would frequently take her to the zoo or aquarium. These outings eventually evolved into her love for animals and in 2014, she went on to get her A.S. degree from Pierce College to become an RVT. One of the aspects of veterinary medicine she is extremely interested in is – Dentistry. Her goal is to take on as many continued education courses to expand her knowledge on veterinary dentistry. Briana loves teaching and sharing new techniques she has learned over her years of experience with her team members. She also has a unique talent of easily calming patients during stressful situations. In her off time, Briana appreciates spending time outdoors with her husband and kids along with her four four-legged children.
Briana is one of our OG’s from day one.

Mauricio, RVT
Outside of work, he enjoys trying new foods, learning new recipes for his grill, and the occasional fishing trip off the coast. Family is also a significant part of his life. He always makes sure to have time for those he loves, especially his dog, Ace.
Mauricio is also one of our OG’s from the very beginning.

Ari, Veterinary Assistant

Kallie, Veterinary Assistant
After the world shifted in 2020, Kallie decided to follow her lifelong passion and dive headfirst into veterinary medicine. She earned her certification in 2021 and has spent the past three years bringing compassion, skill, and a whole lot of heart to every patient she cares for.
In the clinic, Kallie is known for her bubbly personality, attention to detail and her genuine joy in being part of a dedicated care team. Outside of work, she’s all about creative adventures—arts and crafts, sun-soaked picnics, and quiet moments by the water. Her beloved four legged friend- “Sweet Pea”- an American Staffordshire Terrier is never far from her side and is a daily reminder of why she loves what she does.

Raman, Office Manager
Raman was born and raised in Rajasthan, India. She migrated to New York during her teenage years, where she attended St. John’s University. After marriage, she moved to the west coast, finally settling down in Southern California.
Raman plays a vital role behind the scenes at The Old Road Veterinary Center. She designed and started the clinic from the ground up alongside her husband, Dr. Cheema. They have worked together for almost three decades, with the shared goal of creating a family practice that regards team members, clients, and patients as one of their own. This dedication drives them to continually evolve and support every individual who enters the practice. Raman’s resilience and leadership skills are essential in maintaining the efficient work environment at the Old Road Vet. Aside from work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and interior design.
